When Hank Graff Chevrolet paired up with Engineered Victories, Inc. to develop the first ever performance kit for the 2010 Camaro SS, it was a masterpiece waiting to happen. The 2010 Camaro SS already receives glowing reviews without any modifications, so it is safe to say high expectations were set (and met) with the upgrade that would be 100% street legal.
The team at EVI started with the victory red SS and began to decide how to supercharge the 380rwhp / 394rwtq engine. They started with choosing some new headers: American Racing 1 ¾ headers, to be exact. Right afterward, a new exhaust was installed with high-flow catalytic converters. Next was the addition of the Magnuson Supercharger, followed by a Roto-Fab cold air kit, and some modifications to the new 50lb injectors that were installed. At the final dyno-test, the completely street-legal, emission test ready SS produced a whopping 564rwhp and 584rwtq. Some final modifications made to the SS: a black painted hood and spoiler, and decals introducing the car as The Fugitive.
Within four hours of being on the lot, the first Fugitive was sold at Hank Graff Chevrolet, located in Davison, Michigan. Shortly after that they sold another red one. Since then, the dealership has acquired the car that is pictured here, and it is still available as of this writing. These cars have become an overnight sensation and this one certainly won’t last long. It will be great to see what other projects EVI puts forward in the future, because the Fugitive is absolutely mind-blowing in its performance considering the fact that it is a street legal vehicle.
Kudos to Hank Graff Chevrolet and Engineered Victories, Inc., for teaming up to produce this muscular beast. We will be on the lookout for the next batch and pass some pictures along when they become available.
